Anthony DeFeo

Anthony joined Family Self Defense Center in 2010 at the age of seven. He has trained exclusively in the style of Isshinryu Karate and Samurai Sport Sword. Anthony has his black sash in Samurai Sport Sword, which he earned in December 2015. He currently trains and teaches one day a week. He has competed and placed in many FSDC sword tournaments.

Anthony trains in Isshinryu karate three to four days a week and teaches one day a week. He has competed in many state and national tournaments, including the IHOF national tournament in 2012 in which he placed in Kata and Kumite. Anthony has also had the pleasure of meeting O’Sensei Kichiro Shimabuku at the 2013 World Isshinryu Championships in which he competed.

Outside of karate, Anthony enjoys restoring and riding motorcycles. He also enjoys being a junior camp counselor in the summer months.
